Richland Township is proud to announce its designation as a 2025 Banner Community by the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM). This recognition honors municipalities that exemplify excellence in local governance through professional development, intergovernmental cooperation, sound fiscal management, and proactive community engagement.
The announcement coincides with Local Government Week in Richland Township, officially declared by Resolution No. 19 of 2024. Local Government Week (April 13–19, 2025) recognizes the essential role that municipalities play in delivering vital services, such as police, fire, EMS, and public works, every day of the year.
Richland Township Supervisor Donna Snyder and Assistant Manager Natalie Thiess accepted the award at the 2025 ALOM Spring Educational Conference, held April 3–6.
“Being named a 2025 Banner Community during Local Government Week reinforces our commitment to transparency, communication, and service,” said Township Manager Brian O’Malley, “We are proud to work alongside our residents to sustain and enhance the exceptional quality of life in Richland.”
