POST- STORM CLEAN UP: FOOD AND YARD WASTE


The Township ordered a dumpster for BAGGED FOOD WASTE ONLY due to the power outage from the storm. It is located by the yard waste dumpster by the Public Works building located at 1 Public Works Drive, Gibsonia, PA 15044.

If throwing yard waste away, it must be bagged leaves or garden residue (must be in the brown paper recycling bags), and tied/bound branches no larger than 3 inches in diameter and do not exceed 48 inches in length. Large items such as stumps, logs, or full bushes are not accepted. Drop off during daylight hours.

Both dumpsters are monitored and recorded by camera.


STORM CLEAN-UP ASSISTANCE


If you are a private resident living within Allegheny County that sustained downed trees and/or debris in your yard there may be assistance for you.  Team Rubicon, a volunteer organization, is coordinating private debris cleanup needs across Allegheny County.  You can contact them by dialing # 2-1-1 (option #2 for Allegheny County) from any phone. Team Rubicon has trained volunteers to handle cutting, dragging, stacking downed trees and debris.  These volunteers will be dressed in gray identifiable shirts and only make contact with residents that have requested their assistance.
